Prior to that, he held international senior management positions for twelve years. A trusted advisor for companies around the world and a member of industry boards, Dr. Ebert is a professor at the University of Stuttgart and Sorbonne at Paris, and authored several books including his most recent book “Global Software and IT” published by Wiley. He was one of the first industry users of COSMIC and ever since helped to further industrialize the COSMIC method on a global scope. |Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Reiner R. Dumke is a retired Professor on Software Engineering at the Otto-von-Guericke-University of Magdeburg, Germany. He received a diplom-degree (MS) in mathematics in 1970 followed in 1980 by a PhD dissertation in computer science about efficiency of database projects. He is the author and editor of more than 30 books about programming techniques, software metrics, metrics tools, software engineering foundations, agent-based software development and Web engineering.He is the founder of the Software Measurement Laboratory (SML@b) of the computer science department of the University of Magdeburg and co-editor of the Measurement News Journal.
He is a vice leader of the German Interest Group on software metrics and he works as a member of the COSMIC, DASMA, MAIN, IEEE and ACM communities.
He is one of the co-founder of the COSMIC group in 1998 and had written the German COSMIC book in 2014.
The COSMIC method was used in any student practices and with our partners in the industrial area.
