In section 3.7 ‘Measurement of the size of changes to software’ guidelines for adding respectively deleting a functional process added as bullets a) and b), shifting the other bullets. The title of RULE 24 renamed to ‘RULE 24: Functional size of changes to the FUR’, conform this title in Part 1.

This version 5.0 of the COSMIC Measurement Manual is not a change of the COSMIC method itself, but a re-organization of the documentation of the COSMIC measurement method. Version 5.0 has no impact on past measurement results. It replaces version 4.0.2: it shortens version 4.0.2 while not modifying its substance in terms of measurement definitions, rules and guidance.
Part 2 of the COSMIC Measurement Manual presents the set of Guidelines developed by the COSMIC Group to facilitate accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility of COSMIC measurement results.
