In a vote of confidence in the COSMIC method, Price Systems has implemented direct capture of COSMIC size measurement data as input to its ‘TruePlanning’ software estimation model. COSMIC sizes are converted directly to effort without conversion via SLOC or traditional function points. The estimation model draws on ISBSG benchmark data for conversion to effort.
