A new research paper from Turkcell, the Turkish telecoms company, describes the evaluation of 20 FSM methods, from which the COSMIC and IFPUG methods were selected for a final evaluation. COSMIC was chosen because of its simplicity and speed of measurement and because “COSMIC’s terminology and model is compatible with modern software engineering practices such as multi-layered and service oriented architectures and object-orientation, etc.
